The Kansas City Baseball Performance Academy is built on the foundation of AthleteBuilder, a company trusted by thousands of athletes and coaches nationwide. Leading the design of our baseball performance programming is Paul Sterrett, former Performance Coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers, who has trained pitchers and position players at the highest levels of the game. He’s joined by Ross Schwisow, whose career includes developing athletes at the University of Missouri, and Dr. Doug Hoogendyk, a biomechanics specialist from USC who has worked with Olympians and MLB All-Stars like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Justin Turner. Dan Smith, co-founder of RackCaoch and a longtime coach and educator, rounds out the leadership team, bringing decades of practical experience in building athlete development systems for high schools and colleges.
VP of Curriculum & Athlete Performance, is a seasoned coach with experience at the University of Missouri. He specializes in curriculum design and long-term planning for athlete development.
Paul Sterrett is the Director of Sales & Coach Development. A veteran strength coach with over 15 years in high school, college, and pro sports, he spent five seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He also hosts the IronGiants podcast.
Dr. Douglas Hoogendyk, Director of Movement Science & Injury Prevention, is a globally recognized expert in biomechanics. He has worked with Olympic and professional athletes like Kevin Love and Justin Turner, and he oversees Baseline's education through AthleteBuilder.
